Thank you for the support in 2007

We look forward to continuing to provide training, education and support services to those affected by drug and alcohol misuse in the North Inner City in 2008. As well as serving as a point of information/ referral/ support for those experiencing drug/alcohol problems, we deliver a range of educational programmes. We are availbale to groups in the area who may benefit, i.e. youth clubs, schools, support, community and educational groups etc. These programmes include:

  • Drug and Alcohol Information and Awareness
  • Prevention for Parents
  • Prevention for Youth
  • Hepatitis C
  • Related health and well being issues

Alcohol and Drugs Education 2008: A range of courses are available on request for parents, youth groups and Training for Trainers. These courses are available to any individuals or projects in the North Inner City. We will advertise dates from time to time, please contact us to be put on our mailing list.

New this Year: Peer Education - Youth: We have developed a Peer Education Programme which is designed specfically to empower young people to deliver drug and alcohol prevention to their peers. It can be run in a variety of formats i.e. evenings and weekends. If you work with a group of young people in the North Inner City who would benefit from such training, please contact us.

Holistic Respite: Every Tuesday evening from 6-8pm HOPE runs a Holistic Respite for anyone who has been impacted by addiction in the home. Family members of those suffering with alcohol or drug abuse, or family members who have been bereaved due to a loved one's addiction are welcome. We provide Shiatsu, Reflexology and a cup of tea and a chat. Further referrals will be made when needed. Please contact us to arrange an appointment.

Drug /Alcohol Abuse: If you or a family member is suffering due to drug or alcohol abuse, please contact our outreach worker at the number below to arrange an appointment for assesment, referral and /or support.
