 Appointment of Social Policy Officers

Age Action Ireland is the leading advocacy organisation on ageing and older people. Our mission is to achieve fundamental change in the lives of all older people by eliminating age discrimination, promoting positive ageing and securing their right to comprehensive and high quality services.

Applications are invited for two new posts in our Advocacy and Communications team:-

  • Social Inclusion Officer to ensure that the needs of the most disadvantaged older people are given high priority in all our work
  • Social Policy Officer (Social Partnership) to strengthen our contribution to the social partnership process in effecting policy and legislative changes

Candidates will need excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to analyse social policy issues. A proven record of producing clear and succinct policy documents and experience of advocacy will be essential. Knowledge of gerontology and experience of working with older people would be advantageous.

Current salary: €37,545 to €49,414 with pension and other benefits.
